Columbia Underwriters, Inc. acts as a Resident Broker to file SC Surplus Lines and Municipal Taxes for non-resident brokers.  The Broker Questionnaire and the Countersignature Agreement are required prior to doing business with us.  Simply download, print, complete and fax to us for your account approval, a process which usually takes less than 24 hours.  Please mail the originals to us.

Tax rates on premiums and fees shown on a policy are 4% Surplus Lines and 2% Municipal.

Once the required forms have been submitted and approved, you may file taxes either on-line with the SC Surplus Lines and Municipal Tax Filing Form or by mail/fax with the Affidavit.
